At New Era, we enjoy what we do...the creative aspects,
the daily challenges and the rewards of seeing design
and installation projects through to completion. The
creative aspects begin with listening to the Client's
goals and ideas for their kitchen. Usually three
different layouts/options are then developed, taking
into account the Client's "wish list", along with
structural and mechanical aspects of the home. We
attempt to have these initial layouts to be as
significantly different from each other as possible. The
merits of each layout are discussed with the Client,
along with construction costs. Decisions are made,
things move along and material choices are made.
Cabinetry, fixtures and other material are ordered ahead
of time, so that when work begins, work can flow without
delay. Kitchen and bath costs can very greatly, but most
New Era kitchens range from $35,000 to $50,000,
including removal, ruff framing, plumbing and electrical
work and fixtures, windows and doors, new walls and
ceiling, cabinetry, solid surface tops, tile etc.
Project durations run in the 10 week range. Bathrooms
range from $18,000 to $24,000 and take about 6 weeks
from start to substantial completion.
